Final placement 2007-08
IMS Dehradun enjoys the services of its placement cell in providing students
with the essential guidance that they require for getting a job placement or
training in an industry. The internship helps a student to get well equipped
with the environment of the workplace and also gain the practical experience of
what they are learning theoretically. We also organize seminars, group
discussions, and lectures conducted by some of the distinguished executives and
academicians from the corporate world.

INFORMATION ABOUT ACTIVITIES OF THE PLACEMENT CELL
IMS has a fully organized & functional placement cell that
is departmentalized as Corporate Resource Centre (CRC).
The CRC under the guidance of its head, other faculty members & the student
volunteers, thrives to provide the best of the placement opportunities
available in the market to the students of various courses at the Institute.
The CRC is committed to provide an exhaustive training to its students so that
they can perform in the corporate, for undergoing various live projects, short
term projects, summer internships, winter training, final placement, etc. To
ensure that the students are transformed and developed to the requirements of
the corporate, regular personality development activities, mock
interviews, role playing exercises, analytical & logical reasoning tests,
gap identification, skill development exercises, extempore, etc. are organized
from time to time.
As a matter of precedence, in the academic year 2005, the CRC has already
conducted a large number of campus interviews for final placement of the
Institute’s students in National & Multi national companies of repute
such as Satyam Computer Services Ltd., GE Capital International
Services, Bharti Cellular Ltd., Descon Ltd., Mobera Systems Pvt Ltd., Smart
Data Enterprises (I) Ltd., Kotak Securities Ltd., to name a few…
CRC has also focused on providing LIVE short-term projects to its students in
different functional areas of Management, Information Technology & Mass
Communication. These projects are of immense help to the students for having an
elementary exposure to the various industries of their interest before
developing a career in the said field. The students of IMS are executing / have
executed, projects in corporate giants like Reliance Infocom,
IDBI Ltd, Sify Ltd., ICICI Bank Ltd., Hindustan Coca Cola Beverages Pvt. Ltd.,
Hughes Escorts Communication Ltd., Indusind Bank, SBI Mutual Funds, Bajaj

Based on the process that the company may wish to follow for final placement,
the CRC works closely with the company to get the best fit between the
students’ expectation and the company’s requirements. We are proud
to say that the Institute has consistently achieved a near 100% placement for
